Just thought I'd share a few shots of a customer's really cool E12 project. It'll be running a built M30, with M88 throttles, turbocharged. The whole shell is seam welded, with lots of little custom touches in the chassis. The suspension is fully powdercoated, trailing arms and subframes are reinforced, and so on. It's been awhile, but we're finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel. Should be quite a beast when it's done. I'll share more as things progress if anyone's interested. Happy Friday, cheers all.

The car has been gone for awhile and is currently at the paint shop across town, last I heard it was being put back together. We got it tuned and dyno’d up in the Bay Area, it made 430hp at the wheels on a pretty conservative boost setting, though it’s got a lot of headroom. Once the paint is done we’ll see it back briefly for a little fettling, then it’s off to its owner. We were all kind of hoping it’d be ready to debut at the Monterey Historics this year because BMW is the featured marque, but I don’t know if that’ll happen. If we see the car back in time I’ll make a hole on the schedule for it. In any case, I’ll be sure to post up some pictures when it’s back. The paint should be beautiful, it’s the 40th Anniversary Corvette color with a little blue in it. Here’s a couple other little posts I made on it:

You have a 5er, I presume? I have a 2002, an E36, and an E46, but I love E28s in particular, I’ve had two and never should have sold them. I’ll have another, for sure. I also have a serious soft spot for Bavarias, my dad had one when I was a kid.
